Most villains pale in comparison to the great
intellect of the Thinker. NO! NOT THE "MAD" THINKER! I am far from insane.
Anyway, even though most villainous rabble are intellectual bacteria
compared to me, many do have adequate evil characteristics.
Our Featured Villains are the members of...
First Appearance: New Warriors #21 (March, 1992) Created By: Fabian Nicieza (W) and Mark Bagley (A) Origin: During the Vietnam War, an American platoon stumbled upon The Temple of the Dragon's Breath in Cambodia. The members of the platoon became a part of a pact which would result in the acquisition of much power. Years later, Diego Casseus, having stolen his daughter's Darkforce powers, thus killing her, gathered together the children of his fellow Platoon members in order to fulfill the pact and claim all the power for himself. The members of his team, dubbed The Folding Circle, were:
Silk Fever Having gathered together the
children of his fellow soldiers, Casseus, calling himself The Left Hand,
returned to Cambodia to gain the immense power for himself.
Unfortunately, he's met by Tai, former aid Tai My Suggestions: The New Warriors had some cool villains and it's a shame that since the series ended the baddies disappeared. Night Thrasher returned the the New Warriors and the Left Hand is dead, but the others could be used. Midnight's Fire first appeared heading up a gang of thugs, Silk Fever was a member of Project: Earth, a group of environment radicals, and Bloodstrike was muscle for a Chicago mob. Later they worked for Tyger Tyger in Madripore. I think, however, that the group should return to America and become muscle for the Kingpin (new Enforcers?), or part of Maggia. Because of their mystical mutant origins, they could also end up working for Selene and fighting the X-Men. Appearances: Bloodstrike: New Warriors #17, 21-26 The Left Hand: New Warriors 16-17, 19, 21-25 Midnight's Fire: New Warriors #2, 16, 21-25; Night Thrasher vol. 2 #13 Night Thrasher: (as member of The Folding Circle only) New Warriors #21-25 Silk Fever: (referred to as Theary) New Warriors #7; (called Firewall) New Warriors #8-9; New Warriors #21-25; Night Thrasher vol. 2 #3-4 Smiling Tiger: New Warriors #19, 21-25 |
