ACTION COMICS #874 - An "Origins and Omens" issue! Mon-El has been trapped in the Phantom Zone since Superman was a teenager, and now he might finally be able to return to Earth! But how will he overcome the fatal lead poisoning that kept him away for so long? And with all the changes the blockbuster "New Krypton" storyline wrought, would he even recognize the planet he left behind?

Meanwhile, life continues to be difficult for Superman thanks to Earth's growing anti-Kryptonian sentiment. "New Krypton" may be over, but its fallout has only begun! To be continued in SUPERMAN #685, which you can find on page 68!

Illustrated by the art-team from SUPERPOWERS Chapter One - Carlos Paul and Debora Carita - the 4 issue series is overseen by Alex Ross, who also provides the incredible cover to issue #1 (and the series).

Plus, issue #1 features an incredible series of covers, including the incomparable Frank Cho, Jazzy John Romita and interior artist Carlos Paul!








MEN OF MYSTERY #77 - Another big 68-page volume of classic 1940's super-hero comic book reprints!! Cover Star MINUTE MAN opens the show in "Minute Man Meets The Victory Vampire", drawn by Phil Bard; and originally seen in Fawcett's Master Comics #43. Next, it's SPY SMASHER behind enemy lines in war-town World War II Europe, as he faces off against a knife-wielding Italian spy in an untityed story from Whiz Comics #22. Then BULLETMAN and BULLETGIRL find themselves ensconced in...."The Temple of Evil", also from Master Comics #43. Then, a pair of Eastern Color creations appear, straight out of Editor Steven Douglas' Heroic Comics. First, MAN O' METAL in an untitled H. G. Peter-drawn story wherin Pat (MAN O'METAL) Dempsey takes on a Nazi submarine- then MOM first-timer MUSIC MASTER stars in yet another unnamed adventure, this one drawn by the great Jimmy Thompson, where the musical maestro of might breaks up a blackmail ring. Finally, it's MAJOR MIDNIGHT in "Without A Body!!" A Leonard Frank- illustrated adventure featuring XOG, the bizarre outer space alien. All top-flight, crystal-clear black & white reprints from acual vintage comic books. Printed standard comic book size, saddle-stitched with full color covers (front cover art by Mike Machlan!!) , and printed in 2009.
