Nothing ruins a day like...well...dying. But Veronica Gainsborrow seems to be handling it well. Unfortunately, when Veronica comes back to life, all Hell breaks loose. She's a trend setter and once she starts coming back to life, so do other people. They just don't look as good, and they're zombies out to eat the living.
What's a girl to do? Kick Zombutt!
Halloween is coming up this Friday and when you go to get comics this week, you need to get some horror comics for the holiday. We recommend Scarlet Veronica. How can you go wrong with a short skirt wearing undead heroine fighting zombies? Ok, if it was a 300 pound heroine...but look at that cover. Scarlet Veronica isn't half 300 pounds.
Dynamic art from Moody makes the action scenes pop. There's a manga feel to it, though not overly manga. The colors are bright, even when there's a dark panel, which makes for a pleasant viewing experience. Moody makes sure to not use stagnant solid brick panels, but layers his panels to best capture the scenes and have them flow across the page.
So, what are you waiting for? We've got scantily clad, hot undead heroines, zombies, a demonic villain, high school angst a la classic Spider-Man, and captivating art.
Oh, you're waiting for comic day...right...right. Well, on Wednesday, October 29th, pick up Scarlet Veronica.
