Last issue we medt the "bad guy"...zombies...United States military created zombies designed to turn to dust when the sun shone on them, or after 14 hours whichever comes first. Except one of the zombies didn't turn dust bunny.

In this issue, we meet the "hero"...Colonel Matthew Drake. Riding a desk and offering advice, the former war hero gets drafted back into field work to capture Zombie Zero. It's heading toward the town where his former girlfriend and their child are living...

We're also let in on the fact that something is being kept from Drake. Only time will tell what that secret will be.

While the first issue was better than this second one, #2 provided us with some important details about Drake. The main problem with issue #2 was it was lacking zombie. Not completely lacking, but Zombie Zero appears on only one page. His appearance, though, is highly effective alluding to Mary Shelley's Frankenstein.

Borges's art is good and effective, especially in his depiction of Zombie Zero.

ZMD: Zombies of Mass Destruction is a six issue limited series from Red 5 Comics and created by Kevin Grevioux, writer and producer of Underworld.
