Evangeline Is No Longer Lost

In 1984, Chuck Dixon and Judith Hunt brought to the comic reading public Evangeline, a vigilante nun in the future.

The original killer nun is back! Guns of Mars, Hateboat, Dinosaur Farm digitally enhanced, are now online …with the same great art, fabulous fast action, mean bad guys and, of course, the cool nun with a gun.

But, that's not all comic fans!
Coming out on December 25th 2008, there will be the new adventures of Evangeline!

That's right! This gritty, futuristic, two-fisted, smoking comeback will feature:

A new storyline. A new origin. A few twists. And re-appearances of memorable characters from past issues and a slew of new characters you'll love to hate.

The team… Dixon and Hunt.

The new Evangeline has a great team…one that has worked together on projects in educational and trade publishing for the past 3 years.

Ben Dixon is a graphic designer and writer with interests in science, history, weaponry, and the digital arts…perfect for this futuristic sci-fi comic. Judith Hunt is a professional published illustrator and the co-creator of Evangeline, someone who understands the character better than no one else.

Evangeline the comic continues online and in print at evangelinethecomic.com.

Come for the sermon…. stay for the explosive action!

So this isn't the same Evangeline that you might remember. According to Hunt in an interview with The Comic Buyer's Guide, "The comic [Evangeline] lost its original complexity and feminist standpoint and became just another excuse for depictions of gratuitous sex and violence."

On evangelinethecomic.com, Ben Dixon tells us that they are only putting up the first three issues of Evangeline. Why? "As far as I’m concern, they never happened so they don’t exist."

21 Issues are uploaded on evangelinethecomic.com, so check it out!
