Twilight Guardian and Bomb Queen V
Blog Monster Flashback Focus
Twilight Guardian #1 - Written by Troy Hickman and drawn by Reza, this seemed like a safe read...It follows the Twilight Guardian, who patrols her nine block neighborhood for criminal activity. The Twilight Guardian is a normal girl wandering her streets for excitement, but nothing happens. Yes, the character is interesting, but nothing happens. Other than nothing happening, there's no conflict. Not a very good show for catching our attention...
Last week, these two titles came out...If they're still on the rack this week, here's some stuff to consider...

I've been a fan of Bomb Queen since her debute, and I've found her and New Port City fascinating. However, this fifth chapter doesn't seem to be anything special. It seems tha Bomb Queen has become redundant and formulaic. I haven't given up completely and will give it an issue or two more, but Bomb Queen defending New Port City from the outside is getting old...

Sorry TG wasn't your cup of tea. We'll try to get you next time. Thanks much for the review!
Wow, Troy Hickman! I'm excited, but I hate he caught me on this review and not on his Common Grounds work...
Mr. Hickman, any comments about where you will go with Twilight Guardian if it gets voted the winner?
Well, the odds of that are about the same as me being named Miss USA (though I do have the moobs for it), but yeah, I have at least a four issue mini-series plotted, and ideas for stories beyond that.
I knew going into this that it would be a challenge as an ongoing series, but for me that will be the fun of it.
And please call me Troy, unless you want to be known as "Mr. Bodog."
Will Twilight Guardian remain grounded in the real world? Or is there more going on than we see now?
