Story: What’s Next
*Spoilers*
Annihilus and his Annihilation Wave have been stopped, but not before throwing the universe into disarray. Planets the universe over are calling for help. They are calling for the Nova Corps…but the Nova Corps no longer exists. There’s only Nova, Richard Rider.
Nova’s doing his best, though. Supercharged with the power of all the recently killed Nova Corps members, and with the help of the Worldmind, the son total of all Xandarian knowledge and culture. As Nova zooms from one edge of the universe to the other saving planet after planet without rest, Nova, pushing himself too hard, makes an error in judgement, falls off course, and lands…on Earth.
Nova hasn’t been treated very seriously in recent years. I loved Larsen’s series, and his role in both New Warriors series was great. But it’s nice to see Nova get a serious treatment. Abnett and Lanning give us a serious Nova while maintaining his carefree hero style. But while spouting confidently and lightheartedly, Nova appears tragic . Things are sure to get worse when he finds out what’s been going on on Earth next issue.
Chen’s art is dynamic, showing us the stress that Nova feels trying frantically to right all the wrongs in the universe.

5 Worms...Exciting story and a lot to look forward to.
