*Spoilers*

I’ve never read Jungle Fantasy before, so I didn’t know what to expect except cheesecake, and I love me some cheesecake. Yeah, I know, I’m a pig.

Anyway, Jungle Fantasy Annual #1 follows Ivory as she hunts the Boat People who have kidnapped her baby. She finds herself caught between a slaughtered tribe and the Lowbrows who have decimated it. This leads to some sexual exploits, which only leads to more trouble.

As already stated, I’ve never read Jungle Fantasy before, so I don’t know how this Annual holds up compared to regular issues. It was a simplistic plot designed to lead Ivory through a series of sexual misadventures, which only cause more problems. But then I guess you don’t get Jungle Fantasy for its story…

Speaking of which, Ortiz’s art is wonderful. His smooth line displays nicely the buxom forms of his female characters. If you like looking at scantily clad and naked women, then Ortiz’s work here is worth a look. Not that it’s all nudey fluff. His action scenes are dynamic and eye catching even if Ivory wasn’t topless. And of course, nearly naked women fighting dinosaurs are great to look at anyway.

Rating: 3 Worms...Simplistic plot but beautiful art, whether nudes or not.
