Warlord #3...Beware Dino-Spoilers...
So, the first thing I remember about DC's Travis Morgan, the Warlord, was the action figure. As I remember it, he fit pretty well with my Masters of teh Universe figures.
Then a comic here or there...depending on when my father would take me by the comic shop...Machiste was cool, Shakira was sexy...as was Tara...but only the occasional issue.
Jump forward 20+ years...and Warlord's coming out again. Hot dog! I like Bruce Jones...usually. Has to be good.
I've never liked just a total redo. Byrne on Doom Patrol is a prime example. It's insulting to completely ignore what other people have done with a character, and The Warlord is a complete redo. I'd like to hear what Mike Grell thinks...
But...
It's well written, and the art is pretty good. Travis pretty much has me convinced that he's a god, but what will happen when his wife and friend show up?
And I like how Travis keeps showing up Brovis. I mean, if anyone in comics needs his teeth kicked in, it is Brovis...and every turn, Travis upstages him.
