New Wrong and Crosswise
Well, I finally got my new Wrong and Crosswise up. I've wanted to start providing commentary on my strips, and now seems like the perfect time.
The Breast Star arc, of which we are near the end, started because of Lewis Black. I wanted a strip to show what Tort Travers does when he's not trying to take over the world, and when he's not doing that...he's teaching elementary school. I wanted Tort to be distracted...inattentive...so I needed his focus on something...his next great plan. Around this time I was discovering Lewis Black and in one of his CDs he had a routine about how the country stopped as one large collective because of...Janet Jackson's breast. So, Tort, looking for a gimmick to catch the American government off guard, decided he should make a Breast Star...a destructive space station in the form of a breast. At the time, I never intended to have Tort make a Breast Star.
Then, my wife offered her breast. She said she'd let her breast be the Breast Star...Well, with that kind of gimmick for a comic, I needed a plot.
So, I decided I would focus on the current President...George W. Bush and Donald "Rummy" Rumsfeld.
Long story short (too late), we're nearing the end of the Breast Star Saga. If you haven't noticed, The Ghost of Ronald Reagan's Head mostly speaks in movie quotes, and mostly from Reagan movies. I'll post a list ofthe quotes and their movie references when this arc is done.
I've been tinkering with format. I needed more space, I felt. Every strip there was a concern from my editor/wife that some panels were too busy with art and dialog, so I thought I'd make the panels a little bit larger...which then blew the attempt to keep the strip visible without scrolling from your webpage...So, I'm trying them stacked two on two.
I hope you enjoy it.
