Marvel Team-Up #20...Let Spoilers Ring
My wife and I love Kirkman's work so much that when she gets pregnant this one last time, if she happens to get pregnant with twins boys, we're naming one Kirkman. But if we only have one, we're going with Yeager, after Chuck Yeager... Sorry, Mr. Kirkman.
Anyway, I've really been enjoying his Marvel Team-Up series and his willingness to use little-used characters. This issue follows the ring made from a fragment of the reality Cosmic Cube which was in the possession of the Mandarin, and then the Ringmaster. This issue starts with Captain America taking it to SHIELD, but losing it in a random attack and it falling into the hands of a teenage boy.
Kirkman's work is fine, but the focus on a never before seen kid is kind of...boring.
I think this is basically the prelude, and most preludes tend to lack the interest that the rest of a story carries. We'll see.
